This session will provide participants with a brief overview of self-directed learning and the six characteristics for establishing self-direction in any classroom. Participants will learn about low lift strategies that can help to support each of the six characteristics, as well as the importance of modeling new strategies for the success of self-direction. Question and answer session to follow presentation. Participants will leave this session with a foundational understanding of how to establish self-directed learning and how it can be applied in their own classrooms.
